Art Galleries Around the 903 Providence Place Apartments

A key component of Rhode Island’s robust culture includes the extensive art galleries located across the state. In Providence alone, there are 18 galleries. Many are within walking distance of the 903 Providence Place Apartments. Here, a few you don’t want to miss:

AS220

This funky, not-for-profit gallery’s mission is to celebrate artists. There is something different happening every night at AS220 - you will never have the same experience twice. When you’re done viewing art, listening to a live band, or watching community theater groups, take a walk downstairs to their amazing restaurant! It is just a mile from the 903 Providence Place Apartments.

Gelman Student Exhibition Gallery

Only seven minutes away from the 903 Providence Place Apartments, the Gelman Student Gallery is exclusively for the work of graduate and undergraduate RISD students. Exhibits change every few weeks, so make sure to go often! View the most innovative new works of art before the artist becomes famous!

Providence Art Club

Founded in 1880, the Providence Art club is located in a historical house in the East Side of Providence. The gallery is free to visit, and is nearly bimonthly.  They even have art instruction classes! Also just seven minutes away from the 903 Providence Place Apartments, you can visit both galleries in one day!

Gallery Z

Nestled on Atwells Ave, Gallery Z is a revolving door of brilliant local, national, and international artists’ work. Founded in 2001 in the West Side, Gallery Z is committed to unique and niche artists. Just a brisk fifteen minute walk from the 903 Providence Place Apartments, you can be sure to experience every exhibition!
